Keynote: “Where Are You REALLY from?”
Implicit bias and structural racism has re-surfaced with Covid19 and recent global turning point events. The presentation will situate Anti-Asian racism within Canada’s historical context and current xenophobia; and address the impact of Anti-Asian stereotyping, micro-aggression, and implicit bias in education.
Dialogue among Participants will focus on individual and ally-ship actions, based on their lived experiences, that work towards an equitable, inclusive, and a just Canada.
ACENet Action Challenge will focus on participants joining in solidarity for collective action against direct and systemic oppression, followed with an opportunity to network.
